Angelina Kalachenkova is an artist from Moscow, based in Berlin. Video and sound are the primary media of her work. Since 2023, she has been studying at the UdK Berlin in the class for photography and conceptual art. She looks into how an affected gaze - be it by the distance, added knowledge, or focus level - can distort the information it is inspecting. Working with such blurs of understanding like one would with a material, Angelina finds a sensitive way to rework the past, to re-enact it through critical analysis and eventual healing.
